Negotiating with Power

The body enters every negotiation before the words do.

The recognition

Power can make the body armor, appease, over-explain, rush, or disappear—often before the conscious mind has decided what it wants to say.

Negotiating with Power combines strategy with somatic literacy. It is for rooms where money, ownership, access, authority, consent, or future possibility are being decided.

The goal is not dominance. It is the capacity to stay in contact with your value, constraints, leverage, and clean no while another person also has power in the room.

A look inside

The movement of the passage.

Each movement combines clear language, embodied noticing, practical decisions, and integration in the rooms where the crossing is already happening.

Movement 01

Read the field

Map interests, leverage, dependency, alternatives, and what the body expects to happen.

Movement 02

Hold value without armor

Practice language, pacing, silence, and a grounded relationship to the ask.

Movement 03

Meet pressure cleanly

Work with urgency, conflict, charm, ambiguity, concessions, and consent.

Movement 04

Leave with yourself intact

Close, document, recover, and evaluate the agreement without rewriting your own knowing.

What you receive

  • Post-room recovery and decision practices

How it fits ordinary life

The experience is designed for self-directed use. Most people spend twenty to forty-five minutes with a weekly chapter, then let the practice travel through the conversations, choices, routines, and bodily responses of the days that follow.

Boundary

This is educational and reflective work. It does not diagnose or treat a medical or mental-health condition and is not crisis, grief-clinical, legal, financial, or emergency support. Where safety or clinical care is needed, qualified support belongs beside or before this work.
